Interpol Launches Sweeping Cybercrime Crackdown in MENA Region

Interpol's Operation Ramz (Oct 2025–Feb 2026) was a multinational crackdown across 13 MENA countries targeting phishing, malware and cyber scams; it led to 201 arrests, identification of 382 additional suspects and 3,867 victims, seizure of 53 servers and dissemination of nearly 8,000 intelligence items, with on-site actions including dismantling a phishing-as-a-service operation and rescuing trafficking victims forced into cybercrime.
