Ukrainian Ransomware Fugitive Added to Europe’s Most Wanted

Europol and partner agencies identified and charged Volodymyr Tymoshchuk as an administrator for LockerGoga and other ransomware families responsible for hundreds of global incidents between 2018–2020, causing extensive financial damage (reported at ~$18bn) including a major 2019 attack on Norsk Hydro; a coordinated international law-enforcement operation, arrests, a superseding US indictment and an $11M reward announcement followed, and a LockerGoga decryptor was later released.
