Researchers Uncover ProxySmart Software Powering 90+ SIM Farms

ProxySmart is a Belarus-linked turnkey platform enabling SIM farm operators to run, manage, and monetize large-scale mobile proxy infrastructure—supporting activities like smishing, premium-rate fraud, bot sign-ups, and OTP interception. Infrawatch observed 87 control panels across 17 countries and 94 phone farm locations, and detailed features including automated IP rotation (via airplane-mode toggling), remote device control, tunnelling/proxy support (OpenVPN, SOCKS5, VLESS, HTTP), OS/network fingerprint spoofing, and an unsigned Android APK for device enrollment, concluding the ecosystem materially lowers barriers to large-scale evasion and complicates attribution.
