ASEAN Entities in the Spotlight: Chinese APT Group Targeting

Unit 42 reports that two Chinese APT groups conducted cyberespionage against ASEAN-affiliated entities around the ASEAN-Australia Special Summit (March 4–6, 2024). Stately Taurus delivered two malware packages that employ DLL sideloading and deploy PubLoad, while a second APT compromised an ASEAN-affiliated environment and used identified C2 infrastructure; the report provides malware hashes, IPs/domains, timelines, pattern-of-life analysis, and mitigations.
