Gambling is No Game: DNS Links Between Chinese Organized Crime and Sports Sponsorships

This report details the discovery of "Vigorish Viper," a comprehensive technology suite likely developed by the Yabo Group that provides end-to-end infrastructure for illegal gambling operations—websites, DNS traffic distribution systems, hosting, mobile apps, custom cryptography and embedded cryptocurrency payments—and ties those operations to organized crime, money laundering, and human trafficking in Southeast Asia; it also documents the actor's use of layered DNS CNAME-based TDS, advanced user fingerprinting, a large domain estate (≈170k domains), and the exploitation of European football sponsorships to target Greater China.
