Efficient HTTP Scripting in the Shell

This article benchmarks and compares shell-based strategies for mass HTTP requests to enumerate ASNs and CIDR ranges from ipinfo, testing baseline sequential fetching, xargs-driven parallelism, curl pipelining, and a hybrid approach. Results show curl pipelining provides the best speed and fewer packets versus pure parallelism, while xargs -P offers a straightforward speed-up; the piece concludes pipelining is optimal for many small HTTP requests.
