CSIR Cyber Games

This report recounts the CSIR Cyber Games, a Capture the Flag-style competition featuring attack/defense scenarios, forensic flag hunts, and planned web defacement challenges, which were hampered by significant technical issues affecting infrastructure access and scoring systems. It also describes a team's pre-event social engineering exercise involving a spoofed site and Twitter account, which led to tension with organizers but was resolved. Despite challenges, participants found value in the event and advocated for its continued role in promoting security awareness.
