Truth Revealed: Agentless Security is Not Real Security

This article argues that agentless-only cloud security is fundamentally flawed—unable to provide real-time protection or detect memory-resident and fileless attacks—and recommends a unified CNAPP that combines agentless visibility with integrated agent-based runtime controls; it promotes Aqua's in-house eBPF Lightning agent and cites a recent fileless Redis campaign ("HeadCrab") as an example of threats agentless tools can miss.
