The Russia-Ukraine Cyber Attacks: A CISO’s Advice

Organizations should expect heightened cyber activity tied to the Russia–Ukraine conflict—ranging from DDoS, ransomware, phishing, and hacktivist campaigns to potentially destructive state-sponsored malware—and must strengthen preparedness. The advisory recommends ensuring business continuity and incident response readiness, regular backups, least-privilege access, basic cyber hygiene and patching, and targeted cloud-native measures such as scanning workloads, CI/CD pipelines, and IaC for vulnerabilities and misconfigurations.
