Move over, DevSecOps — DevEx is the new darling

This article argues that prioritizing Developer Experience (DevEx) is essential to realizing the promise of DevSecOps, reducing friction and unplanned work while maintaining speed and security. Drawing on insights from industry leaders and surveys, it recommends five practices—building paved roads, thoughtful workforce planning, improved visibility and prioritization, robust open-source management, and clear policies for AI-assisted coding—to embed security seamlessly into developer workflows and drive better business outcomes.
