Safer with Google: New intelligent, real-time protections on Android to keep you safe

Google announces AI-powered Scam Detection in the Phone app and live threat detection in Google Play Protect, offering on-device, privacy-preserving, real-time alerts for suspected scam calls and harmful apps (starting with stalkerware). These features debut on Pixel 6+ devices, leverage Gemini Nano and other on-device ML, process data locally via Private Compute Core, and will expand to more Android devices.
