Operation Atlantic: How Public-Private Collaboration Is Freezing Millions in Crypto Scam Proceeds

Operation Atlantic was a week-long, public–private initiative co-hosted by the UK NCA and partners (including the US Secret Service, Ontario authorities, and Chainalysis) to detect and disrupt approval-phishing cryptocurrency scams in real time; the effort identified over 20,000 victims across the UK, Canada, and the US, secured/froze more than $12 million in suspected proceeds, and mapped roughly $45 million in stolen funds while generating investigative leads and supporting victim remediation.
