This note explains how attackers leverage Google and Google Code Search to rapidly find websites running vulnerable versions of common CMS platforms (WordPress, Joomla, MediaWiki, etc.), locate vulnerable code in repositories, and discover pages infected with obfuscated JavaScript that loads malicious scripts from external domains; examples and hostnames are provided to illustrate how such findings enable rapid compromise and the creation of denylists or detection heuristics.
