New Insights: Is China watching your IoT traffic?

Zscaler ThreatLabz's "IoT in the Enterprise: Empty Office Edition" analyzes IoT traffic from corporate networks during remote-work office closures and finds broad IoT exposure: 550 unique device types, a 700% increase in IoT-specific malware year-over-year, large numbers of devices using plaintext communications (notably smart TVs/set-top boxes), and suspicious connections disproportionately routing to China and Russia; the report urges adoption of zero-trust architectures to prevent lateral movement and restrict IoT device access.
