Follow-Up on the Top Blocked Sites

This report analyzes a series of website compromises where injected IFRAMES/JavaScript redirect visitors from popular sites to common malicious landing pages (fake Flash updates, fake AV scareware, and survey scams). It highlights that infections persist for days, antivirus detection rates for the delivered executables are low, Google Safe Browsing may block the infected host but not necessarily the injected malicious domains, and it recommends webmasters use Google Webmaster Tools, Safe Browsing diagnostics, and the Safe Browsing Lookup API to detect and remediate compromises.
