Encrypted Traffic Detection

Zscaler ThreatLabZ analyzed H2 2018 encrypted traffic across its cloud and found encryption nearing 80% of traffic while blocking 1.7 billion threats hidden in SSL/TLS—with phishing up ~400% year-over-year and many malicious sites using free Let’s Encrypt certificates—leading to the recommendation that organizations must inspect all encrypted traffic (including CDN/trusted sites and newly registered domains) to detect and prevent concealed attacks.
