Google released Chrome 138.0.7204.157/.158 to patch six security flaws, including an actively exploited zero-day (CVE-2025-6558) in the ANGLE/GPU components that can allow an attacker to escape the browser sandbox by luring a user to a malicious webpage; users on Windows, macOS, and Linux are advised to update immediately (Settings > About Chrome) to mitigate the risk. The vulnerability was reported by Google's Threat Analysis Group and requires no additional user interaction to be exploited, risking full device compromise.
