Apple expands “DarkSword” patches to iOS 18.7.7

DarkSword is a high‑severity, full‑chain iOS exploit kit that combines six vulnerabilities (across WebKit, Safari, the dynamic loader, and the kernel) to achieve remote, no-interaction device compromise via a malicious website or ad. The chain has been observed in the wild since November 2025 used by commercial spyware and state actors; after public disclosure and PoC publication, Apple extended iOS 18 updates to older devices to address the flaws and the report provides update/mitigation guidance (including Lockdown Mode and content blockers).
