Apple’s Hide My Email doesn’t hide it very well

A researcher found and reported a vulnerability in Apple's Hide My Email feature that could reveal users' real email addresses; he says Apple had not fixed the issue more than a year after disclosure. Apple is investigating and advised withholding public details while it studies the issue; users are advised to use separate email aliases per service and not to rely solely on Hide My Email for privacy until a security update is issued.
