AI is everywhere, and Boomers don’t trust it 

Malwarebytes reports that Baby Boomers widely distrust generative AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Meta AI, viewing them as significant threats to personal data: 54% see AI as more dangerous than social media, 82% are concerned about privacy/security, and 71% report never using such tools. Respondents cite fears of unauthorized data access, misuse, and lack of transparency/control, and show limited confidence that measures like third‑party audits, detailed data-use reports, or government regulation would meaningfully improve their comfort with AI.
