Discord warns users after data stolen in third-party breach

Discord disclosed a breach stemming from a compromise of a third-party customer support provider on September 20, which allowed attackers to access user support tickets and exfiltrate personal data — including names, usernames, email addresses, limited billing information, IP addresses, support messages, and some government ID images — and which included a ransom demand; Discord revoked the provider's access and launched an investigation.
