pcTattletale founder pleads guilty as US cracks down on stalkerware

Malwarebytes reports that pcTattletale founder Bryan Fleming pleaded guilty to hacking and illegally selling stalkerware; researchers earlier discovered unsecured screenshot databases and API/backend vulnerabilities that exposed victim and customer data (including shared AWS credentials), leading to an AWS-enforced infrastructure shutdown and the product being abandoned while law enforcement continues prosecution.
