SMS scammers use toll fees as a lure

An active smishing campaign impersonates toll services to lure victims into paying small 'outstanding toll' amounts via convincing fake websites that harvest names, contact details, and credit card data; multiple look‑alike domains and at least one hosting IP were observed, and the scam has been seen in the US as well as Australia, Canada, and Japan. The report lists involved domains, a hosting IP (45.8.92.38), and gives user mitigation steps including verifying sender numbers and official sites and reporting incidents to the FBI IC3.
