Real Apple notifications are being used to drive tech support scams

Scammers are abusing Apple account notification emails by creating Apple IDs, placing phishing messages in the personal info fields, and making benign changes that trigger genuine “Your Apple account was updated” alerts; because the phishing text is embedded in Apple’s legitimate email, messages bypass filters and convince recipients to call fake tech-support numbers where they may be coerced into giving remote access or payments.
