I spoke to a task scammer. Here’s how it went

This report documents a widespread "task scam" campaign that contacts users on X, Telegram and WhatsApp offering fake remote jobs (liking/boosting content) using a counterfeit booking.com site, training accounts showing inflated USDT balances, and requests for a 100 USDT deposit to withdraw earnings; the author engaged via a burner phone to record the scam flow, screenshots, and advice on avoiding and reporting these scams.
