Update Chrome now! Google releases emergency security patch

Google issued an emergency Chrome update (to version 124.0.6367.207+) that fixes two critical memory-corruption vulnerabilities — CVE-2024-4671 (use-after-free in Visuals, reported as actively exploited and capable of enabling sandbox escape) and CVE-2024-4761 (out-of-bounds write in the V8 JavaScript engine) — both triggerable via specially crafted webpages; users are advised to update immediately to mitigate drive-by exploitation.
