Scamdemic outbreak

Group-IB identified a large, ongoing fraud campaign abusing over 4,300 Blogspot pages and 100+ accounts to impersonate 130+ brands (notably 47 telecoms), celebrities and state agencies across 16 Arabic-speaking countries (and some users in Turkey and Nigeria); victims are lured via WhatsApp messages, fake giveaways, lotteries and job offers to submit personal data and to propagate the scams, with the group using Blogspot as content storage/redirector and achieving roughly 500,000 visits per month.
