Scammers make off with $1.6 million in crypto

This report documents a large-scale crypto scam campaign that used edited celebrity YouTube livestreams and one-page giveaway websites to deceive viewers into sending cryptocurrencies or divulging seed phrases; Group-IB detected dozens of fraudulent streams, 29 primary scam sites within a 583-domain network, over 30 scam wallets, 281 transactions exceeding $1.68M in three days, and individual streams that attracted thousands to hundreds of thousands of viewers.
