Reprisal Hacktivism Targets Indian Ideology

A Cyble Research & Intelligence Labs report outlines a sustained wave of cross-border hacktivist campaigns (OpIndia, OpsPatuk, Operation Payback, OpsjentikRamadhan, OpAbabeel, OpIndia2.0, OpIndia23 and others) targeting Indian government, financial, healthcare, and educational sectors. The actors used DDoS, defacement, database theft and publication of personal identity documents (Aadhaar, PAN, passports), and exploited a Local File Inclusion (LFI) vulnerability to obtain MySQL credentials and backend access; multiple groups and reprisal actors are named and tracked.
