Hacktivists Exploit IT Vulnerability In Major Attacks

Cyble reports that hacktivist groups have shifted from DDoS/defacement toward more sophisticated operations—targeting critical infrastructure, deploying ransomware, and exfiltrating large volumes of data. The first quarter of 2025 saw pro-Russian, pro‑Ukrainian, pro‑Palestinian and other hacktivists conducting multi-vector campaigns against government, finance, telecom, and energy sectors across NATO countries, the U.S., Israel, India, and Russia, using tactics like ICS exploitation, SQL injection, credential leaks, and bespoke ransomware.
