How World ID wants to put a unique human identity on every AI agent

World has launched a beta of Agent Kit that ties AI agents to its World ID “proof of human” tokens, allowing sites to require agents to prove they are acting on behalf of a verified person. The report frames this as a way to limit Sybil-style automated requests (e.g., bots or many agents controlled by one user) for resources like reservations, ticketing, free trials, or online polls, rather than blocking automated traffic outright.
