AirSnitch is research presented at NDSS 2026 that demonstrates a novel cross-layer Wi‑Fi attack exploiting identity desynchronization between physical/link layers and higher protocol layers. The technique can enable full bidirectional machine-in-the-middle attacks across SSIDs and network segments—potentially enabling cookie theft, DNS and cache poisoning—and affects small home networks up to large enterprise deployments by targeting a previously overlooked Layer‑1/Layer‑2 attack surface.
