CrowdStrike-Microsoft Threat Attribution Alliance

CrowdStrike and Microsoft announced a joint initiative to create a shared mapping (a “Rosetta Stone”) of threat actor aliases to align vendor naming; analysts have already mapped more than 80 aliases (e.g., equating Volt Typhoon with VANGUARD PANDA and linking Secret Blizzard with VENOMOUS BEAR) and invite other vendors to contribute to the resource to improve cross‑industry attribution and defensive coordination.
