CBSE Engages IIT Experts After Admitting OSM Security Vulnerabilities

CBSE acknowledged security vulnerabilities in its On-Screen Marking (OSM) platform for Class 12 exams — allegations include a hardcoded master password, visible OTPs, unauthorized password resets, potential alteration of student marks, and an AWS bucket reportedly exposing scanned answer sheets — and has engaged experts from IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur and government agencies to audit, contain reported issues, migrate the platform to a more secure environment, and invite researchers to share findings while post-result services proceed.
