CareCloud Hit by Cyberattack, Probe Into Possible Data Exposure

CareCloud disclosed a material cybersecurity incident after an unauthorized third party temporarily accessed one of its electronic health record environments for about eight hours on March 16; systems were restored the same day and an investigation (including external forensics and law enforcement notification) is ongoing to determine whether patient data was accessed or exfiltrated.
