Two Face US Charges for Sextortion and Cyberstalking in Puerto Rico

Two Dominican nationals were extradited to the U.S. to face charges over an alleged international sextortion ring that used Facebook, WhatsApp and other social platforms to coerce Puerto Rico residents into sending sexually explicit images and then extort them by threatening distribution (including fabricated collages suggesting involvement with minors). The FBI San Juan and DOJ investigated, and the defendants face charges of conspiracy to cyberstalk and send interstate threats; victims reportedly paid and continued to be harassed even after payments.
