US Treasury Launches Major Campaign to Disrupt Iran’s Global Networks

The U.S. Department of the Treasury launched "Operation Economic Outcast," expanding sanctions against Iran across digital assets, technology, gold, aviation and shipping and designating nearly 60 entities, individuals and vessels; the action targets oil smuggling, sanctions evasion and financial networks and also names MOIS-directed cyber actors accused of compromising and exfiltrating data from U.S. critical infrastructure sectors and stealing digital assets.
