UT San Antonio Shuts Systems, Delays Classes After Cyber Incident

UT San Antonio detected attempted unauthorized activity at the edge of its network and, as a precaution, took systems and services offline while working with partners to contain the activity and restore services. The disruption affected connectivity, email, phone and registration-related systems, prompting a three-day delay to the start of fall classes; the university reports no evidence so far of data access or exfiltration and the investigation is ongoing.
