US Seizes 1,000+ Domains Used to Illegally Stream FIFA World Cup

The U.S. Department of Justice, supported by HSI and international partners, seized over 1,000 domains involved in unauthorized streaming of FIFA World Cup 2026 matches as part of Operation Offsides and coordinated global actions under Operation Red Card; authorities also arrested members of the Colombian cybercrime group Los Ciberinfiltrados, accused of illegally accessing telecom systems and distributing pirated streams using fraudulent credentials, VPNs and interception techniques, and warned that illicit streaming services can expose users to malware and payment fraud.
