Kuwait’s banking sector, led by the Kuwait Banking Association and guided by the Central Bank, has deployed an enhanced centralized virtual operations/"war room" to detect and respond to financial cybercrime in real time. The platform connects banks with government bodies to halt suspicious transactions, trace funds, and coordinate legal action; it shifts defenses from reactive to proactive monitoring by tracking fraud patterns (fake bank communications, fraudulent links, misleading ads, false prize claims) and emphasizes customer vigilance and ongoing system evolution to address emerging threats.
