Kiteworks Systems Restored After Threat Warning, Vulnerability Found

Kiteworks temporarily shut down hosted and customer-managed environments after receiving federal threat intelligence about a potential imminent attack; during the shutdown the company discovered and remediated a previously unknown critical vulnerability that affected under 1% of customers, found no evidence of exploitation or compromise, and has since restored services while maintaining additional monitoring and protective measures.
