Latvia Hacker Arrested Over TSC Data Theft and Extortion Attempt

A Latvian police investigation linked two cyberattacks in which an individual used automated scanning to find website vulnerabilities, exfiltrated customer repair and personal data (including contact details and in some cases IMEI and bank account numbers), and attempted to extort payment; the suspect was arrested and inquiries with CERT.LV and corporate security are ongoing.
