Hacker claims theft of Piramal Group’s employee data

A threat actor posted a sample and claimed to be selling a dataset allegedly containing over 10,000 current and former Piramal Group employee records (names and email addresses). TechCrunch obtained and partially validated the sample, but Piramal denies any breach of its systems, says the data appears sourced from a third-party testing service (Mailinator), and reported the matter to CERT-In. The exposed emails and names could enable targeted phishing, though there is no confirmed evidence of Piramal systems being compromised.
