Ireland privacy watchdog confirms Dell data breach investigation

TechCrunch reports that Dell experienced two related data breaches in which a threat actor called “Menelik” exploited flaws in separate Dell portals to scrape customer PII — including names, physical addresses, order details, phone numbers, and email addresses — prompting a notification to Ireland’s Data Protection Commission and an ongoing regulator assessment.
