The FBI seized domains used by a China-linked botnet operated by Nanjing Xinjiuwei (attributed to the QTFY group) that allegedly provided command-and-control and obfuscation services to Chinese state-backed hackers; the infrastructure was used in intrusions from 2018–2026 against U.S. government agencies and critical sectors (including NASA, the Federal Reserve, multiple federal departments, and the U.S. Senate), and the domain seizures were intended to render the botnet inoperable.
