Dutch phone giant Odido says millions of customers affected by data breach

Dutch telecom Odido confirmed a cyberattack in which attackers accessed its customer contact system and exfiltrated personal data for over 6.2 million customers (including names, phone numbers, postal and email addresses, dates of birth, IBANs, and government-issued ID numbers); operations and business customers were reportedly unaffected. The report notes former customers within the past two years may also be impacted and places the breach in the context of a broader pattern of telco targeting by threat actors such as Salt Typhoon.
