Chinese cybercrime operation that used AI to scam ‘hundreds of thousands of victims’ sued by Google

Google has sued an alleged Chinese cybercrime network called Outsider Enterprise that sold an AI-powered, turnkey phishing service enabling criminals to create phishing sites and send millions of scam texts; Google and the FBI have taken action to seize domains and disrupt the operation after detecting over 1.59 million URLs, millions of scam texts, and large-scale theft of payment card data with estimated losses in the hundreds of millions to billions of dollars.
