Password manager Dashlane says hackers stole some customers’ password vaults

Dashlane says attackers brute-forced its two-factor authentication to register devices on existing accounts and download roughly 20 customers' encrypted password vaults. The company reports no evidence of a compromise of its own systems; however, vaults could be decrypted if victims used weak or guessable master passwords, and the company has notified affected customers.
