UK national accused of hacking dozens of US companies arrested in Spain

Spanish police arrested an alleged 22-year-old British leader of the cybercrime group “0ktapus,” accused of using phishing to steal credentials and breach at least 45 U.S. companies, controlling $27 million in cryptocurrency, and being tied to the 2022 Twilio compromise that exposed thousands of employee passwords and affected many Twilio customers including DoorDash and Signal.
