A 24-year-old, Nicholas Moore, admitted to repeatedly accessing the U.S. Supreme Court electronic filing system, AmeriCorps servers, and a Department of Veterans Affairs account using stolen credentials; he exfiltrated victims' personal and health information and posted some of it publicly to an Instagram account (@ihackthegovernment). The filings detail exposed PII and PHI (names, contact details, DOB, partial SSN, citizenship/veteran status, service history, and medication records) across multiple government-related systems, and Moore faces criminal penalties.
